"Designed in Norway, the CMXI watch is an innovative men’s chronograph that pays homage to the iconic sports cars of the 1970's. It has a classic stainless steel design with a matte black finish case and a beautiful dial arrangement creates a timeless presence on your wrist. Inspired by the design of classic rev counters and speedometers, racing gloves and oil gauges, we've created a watch aimed at classic car enthusiasts. Having the single main hand to tell the time was one of our first must haves and it reflects the design of a classical rev counter or speedometer. With a matching redline at 12 o´clock. Inspired by the rows of holes typically found on vintage racing gloves, we have given the CMXI a unique look with two sets of large holes running all the way around the strap. A sandwich design to the watch where the top dial actually moves behind the main dial. The quarter top dial inspired by old gas/oil gauges. All the writings on the watch are in Latin or Roman Numerals. Surrounding the main dial is the Latin phrase “ amare et sapere vix deo conceditur”, which basically means “Even a god finds it hard to love and be reasonable at the same time”. A phrase we think most classic car enthusiasts can relate to this when it comes to the time and money spent on our passion."
