Peter Hillary and Jamling Tenzing Norgay, the sons of Sir Edmund and Tenzing, have officially revealed the complete collection of their customized Rolex Explorers. The collection (not officially affiliated with Rolex) will include three watches: The 36mm HTE which is based on the same 1953 Oyster Perpetual worn on the first trek up Mt. Everest. Next is the HTE 39mm that commemorates Sir Edmund and Peter Hillary as the first and second generation to reach the summit of Everest. And finally, the HTE 42mm which is the brand new Explorer II to celebrate the achievement of Peter and Jamling’s retracing of their father’s footsteps. The set will be limited to 88 editions and each package will include several custom-made items alongside the watches inside a handmade expedition crate.
