Så stor er den ikke (fra Pateks egen pressemelding);

Ellers er jeg vel også "skuffet", men mest over prisene. De som allerede har en Nautilus bør vel være fornøyde - de eksisterende modellene blir jo ikke akkurat mindre attraktive av dette påfunnet.....

Syns diamantmarkørene var elegante, blåfargen likeså.
Platinum er jo som alltid flott, sykt dyrt og uaktuelt.
Syns ikke en 40årsjubileumstekst på skiva er særlig classy, hadde holdt med en unik skivefarge som markering, evnt gravering på baksiden, i verket, eller lignende.

Jeg forventet ikke en 40-års versjon for bermen. Som sagt tidligere så fungerer 5711 alt for godt til å gjøre noen endringer pga et jubileum.

Når det er sagt så hadde det vært sabla kult med en 5711 i stål og jubileumsblåfarge til en vanlig 5711-pris. Subtilt og for de interesserte.
 
Hva er greia med å trykke "40 1976 - 2016" så markert på urskiva. o_O Kunne muligens vært på sin plass gravert i småskrift på baksiden. Uansett, så vil jo alle vite at dette er en jubileumsmodell - så hvorfor skrive noe på klokka i det hele tatt.

Nå ble plutselig Patek ganske likt Breitling..Rett og slett latterlig lite classy.

The first watch in the collection is the ref. 5976/1G, a chronograph in white gold. At first glance, you might think this watch is a special version of the ref. 5980, and for good reason: the watches have the same dial layout and are both powered by the caliber CH 28-520 C. This is an automatic flyback chronograph movement with both a column wheel and a vertical clutch, plus the date.

But, this is a very different watch. The solid white gold case measures 44mm across the dial aperture and a whopping 49.25mm if you include the oblong sides of the case. It's 12.16mm thick, which seems appropriate for a watch of this size – incidentally, the much smaller 5980 is the same thickness, meaning this watch will likely feel thinner because of the additional diameter. The bracelet is also solid white gold, so you know this is going to be a seriously hefty watch...

At 49.25mm across including the sides of the case and 44mm across just the dial from 10 o'clock to four o'clock, this watch is massive. And in white gold, it probably feels every bit as big on the wrist too. Keeping it at the 40.5mm of the 5980 would have made for another awesome chronograph, but at this size it's pushing into (if not sitting squarely in) practically unwearable territory for most collectors.
